EggerMath ("we", "our", or "us") operates the eggermath.com website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our browser-based Game Boy Advance emulator. Please read this policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described herein.
Analytics Data. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage information about how visitors interact with our website. This may include your IP address (which is anonymized), browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, time spent on each page, date and time of your visit, and general geographic region. This data is collected automatically and is used solely to understand traffic patterns and improve our Service.
Local Storage (IndexedDB). The emulator stores data entirely within your browser using IndexedDB and localStorage. This includes your game save states, ROM files you upload, emulator configuration preferences (such as display scaling, key bindings, and audio settings), and your cookie consent selection. This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Cookie Consent. We use a single functional cookie to remember your cookie consent preference so that we do not re-prompt you on subsequent visits.
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, behavioral profiling, or any form of automated decision-making.
We use the following third-party services that may collect or process information:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use the following types of cookies:
We do not use any form of cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or remarketing technologies. You may disable cookies at any time through your browser settings, though doing so may affect certain site functionality.
Your emulator data (save states, ROMs, preferences) is stored entirely on your device via IndexedDB. This data is never uploaded to our servers. We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect any server-side data we do hold, including SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months in accordance with Google's default settings, after which it is automatically deleted. Server access logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes and are then permanently deleted. Local storage data persists on your device until you manually clear your browser data or until the Service is updated in a way that alters storage schema.
We respect your rights over your data. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
If you are located in the EEA, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing analytics data is your consent, obtained through our cookie consent banner. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies or adjusting your preferences. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grant you additional rights, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take steps to delete it. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.
Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards where required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via a banner on the website. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

We will respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days.
